
Educational Background
I graduated from Princeton Community High School in 1987. I then attended Indiana State University and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I received my Master’s of Science Degree from ISU during the summer of 2004. I am currently taking classes to receive another Master’s Degree in Administration and will graduate in May 2021.
Professional Background
I teach 6th grade Language Arts and Reading at Woodrow Wilson on the Dream Team. I began teaching 5th grade at Turkey Run Elementary School. I taught there for two years, then transferred to Woodrow Wilson in 2001. In 2018, I was given the Excellence in Education Award and was awarded 2019 Teacher of the Year for the Vigo County School Corporation.
Personal Information
I graduated from Princeton Community High School, where I grew up, in 1987. I have been married for 31 years to Jeff. We have two children, Kari and Jake. Kari graduated from North High School, and is also a teacher at Woodrow Wilson. Jake is also a graduate of North. He is now learning our family business, dental technology. I am now a grandma! I enjoy watching sports, especially basketball, reading, and spending time with my family.
