Mr. Gosnell

Educational Background

I was born and raised in Terre Haute, Indiana. I attended Rio Grande Elementary School, Otter Creek Middle School, and Terre Haute North High School and am a proud former patriot. I enrolled at Indiana State University in the fall of 2011 to pursue Social Studies Education and graduated Cum Laude in the spring of 2015.

Professional History

I did my student teaching assignments at Terre Haute South and Honey Creek Middle School. My first teaching position was at Terre Haute North High School for the 2015/2016 school year. During my time there I taught Algebra 1 as well as some remedial math classes. I was hired to teach here at Woodrow Wilson over the summer of 2016. This is my 5th year here teaching 7th grade social studies.

I am also the sponsor of our school’s Chess Club. If you have a student interested in joining have them come to my room (Room 218) for more information. The more the merrier!

In addition to the Chess Club I am also the academic coach for the Social Studies Academic Super Bowl Team. Starting in January I will be looking for strong social studies students to form our team. This year’s topic is The American Woman 1920-2020!! Should be lots of fun!

Personal Information

In my free time I enjoy reading and going to the movies. I have traveled to multiple countries in Europe and hope to see other places as well to tell my students about other areas and cultures. My family and I are huge Green Bay Packers fans and enjoy watching the games together. I also enjoy spending time with my dog Kya going on long walks in the park. I LOVE superheros and the Marvel movies and enjoy collecting comic books!
