This is your principal , Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of December 5th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Can you believe it?\u00a0 We only have a few weeks left in 2021. \u00a0Well, it\u2019s not over yet.\u00a0 I have quite a few announcements, so here\u2019s what\u2019s going on this week:<\/p>\n

Tomorrow is Meaningful Monday.\u00a0 We will be outside the building, with a cup of hot chocolate for you, as you drop off your Scottie.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s County Week and you know what that means, we get to show our school spirit!\u00a0 Any time we get to show our school spirit\u2026is a good time!<\/p>\n

We kick things off on Monday with Pajama Day.\u00a0 Wear your warm and comfortable pajamas, school appropriate, of course!<\/p>\n

Tuesday is Sarah School Spirit Day-We want to see everyone in orange, black and white.<\/p>\n

Wednesday is always fun.\u00a0 It\u2019s Mix\/Match Day.\u00a0 That means that nothing is supposed to match.\u00a0 How mix\/matched can you get?<\/p>\n

You\u2019re going to love Thursday.\u00a0 It\u2019s Comfy, Sweats, and Joggers Day.\u00a0 We\u2019ll be chillin\u2019 in our comfy sweats.<\/p>\n

Friday is a favorite.\u00a0 It\u2019s Hat Day.\u00a0 Have fun with that!<\/p>\n

Our 6th<\/sup> and 7th<\/sup> grade boys are scheduled to take it to the hoop on Tuesday in a game against Honey Creek Middle School.\u00a0 Both of these games are scheduled to take place at Honey Creek.<\/p>\n

The 8th<\/sup> grade boys and girls will have a game against West Vigo Middle School on Wednesday.\u00a0 This will be an away game.\u00a0 These games begin at 5:00.\u00a0 Guests are asked to mask and respect social distancing.<\/p>\n

Our boys\u2019 basketball teams, if victorious on Tuesday, will go for the County Championship title on Thursday.\u00a0 This game will be played at Terre Haute South High School.\u00a0 Please note that these games will begin at 6:00.
\nFamily, we know that you take your students\u2019 academic success seriously.\u00a0 And so, do we. In order to help some of our Scotties, who are not completing their school assignments and as a result are failing their classes, Scotties are encouraged to take advantage of \u201cLIFT Academy\u201d every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:15 to 4:30.\u00a0 Scotties can receive support in ANY of their subjects.\u00a0 We are excited to provide LIFT Academy to our Scotties.\u00a0 As we move forward, our plan is to notify you, if your Scottie has multiple missing assignments and make arrangements for your Scottie to remain, at Sarah Scott, for\u00a0LIFT Academy.\u00a0 We hope you will support this opportunity for your Scottie!<\/p>\n

It’s time for Sarah Scott Christmas Store shopping!\u00a0 Beginning tonight, at 7:00, every Scottie, who has made Honor Roll and those who have NO discipline referrals, will be the first to shop.\u00a0 You know all those Scottie Bucks, your teachers have been rewarding you with for getting your work completed, getting to class on time, etc.\u00a0 Well, now you get to spend them, in the Sarah Scott Christmas store!\u00a0 Simply, log in to your PBIS app, on your Chromebook or phone.\u00a0 Santa\u2019s helpers pull your purchases for you to \u00a0pick them up the next day.\u00a0 Check out our Facebook page for the shopping schedule.<\/p>\n
