This is your principal, Scotia Brown, calling with you Scottie Burst, for the week of November 14th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to the Sarah Scott Spell Bowl Team, who honored us at Purdue University, on Saturday.\u00a0 Our amazing Scotties earned 2nd<\/sup> place\u2026in the state!\u00a0 That is soooo AMAZING! Great job!\u00a0 Congratulations to these outstanding Scotties:\u00a0 Isaac Goodman, Isis Johnson, Samya Ward, Gavin Wallace, Lukas Woodward, Kendrick Foye, Abby Flynn, Hayden Lugar and Vincent Kelley. \u00a0On a special note, our own, Abby Flynn, who had a perfect score, \u00a0will compete this Wednesday, in the state\u2019s individual spell bowl competition!\u00a0 And a huge thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to Miss Cox, our Spell Bowl Team coach!<\/p>\n

Our 6th<\/sup> grade boys\u2019 basketball team DID IT AGAIN, with their victory against Otter Creek, last week!\u00a0 Their team is currently 5-0!<\/p>\n

Here are your announcements for this week:<\/p>\n

Our 8th<\/sup> grade boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 basketball teams will have their first games of the season on Monday with a game against Honey Creek Middle School.\u00a0 This will be a home game.<\/p>\n

Tuesday, our 6th<\/sup> and 7th<\/sup> grade boys, will be back on the floor.\u00a0 This time our boys will be playing against Honey Creek Middle School.\u00a0 This will be an away game.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, our 8th<\/sup> grade boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 basketball teams will be \u201cfired up and ready to go, for their game against Otter Creek Middle School.\u00a0 This will be a home game.<\/p>\n

Thursday, our 6th<\/sup> and 7th<\/sup> grade boys will be competing against Otter Creek Middle School.\u00a0 This will be an away game.<\/p>\n

We hope you can come out and support all of our teams.\u00a0 The Sarah Scott cheerleaders and Dance team will be firing up the crowd.\u00a0 We just need you in the stands, cheering the teams on.\u00a0 As always, masks are required, and social distancing is expected.\u00a0 We hope to see you at the games.\u00a0 All games begin at 5:00.<\/p>\n

Friday will be picture day for our 8th<\/sup> grade basketball teams and our cheerleaders.\u00a0 Pictures will be taken at 3:30.<\/p>\n

Parents, our teachers would encourage you to login to Skyward and review your Scotties progress.\u00a0 We have some Scotties, who have a number of missing assignments.\u00a0 This will have a negative effect on their grades.\u00a0 We want you to be informed.\u00a0 Login to Skyward and make sure your Scottie is completing his\/\/her work.\u00a0 If you have any questions on how to get this information, please call the school. We will be glad to help\u2026cause you need to know!<\/p>\n

If your Scottie needs help in any subject, help is available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:25 to 7:55 with either Miss Walker or Mx Pritchard. \u00a0Math help is available after school, with Mr. Tyler, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 3:15 to 4:30.<\/p>\n

Grandma\u2019s Cupboard, our food pantry, is there if your family needs a food box.\u00a0 All you have to do is to call the school and ask for Miss Campbell-Miller.\u00a0 She will help.<\/p>\n
