This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your Scottie Burst for the week of October 24th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Here are your announcements for this week:<\/p>\n

Scotties will have early release on Tuesday.\u00a0 All students will be released at 2:30.<\/p>\n

Report cards were posted last Friday, on Skyward.\u00a0 Be sure to log in to Family Access to review your Scotties report card.\u00a0 If your Scottie needs some help in math or any subject area, help is available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 7:25 to 7:55 with Mrs. Walker or Mx Pritchard.\u00a0 After school help is available in math on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:30, with Mr. Tyler.<\/p>\n

Parent-teacher conferences will begin this week thru Nov. 5th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Our Sarah Scott staff will be reaching out to each of you to schedule a time to talk with you regarding your Scottie\u2019s academic success.\u00a0 Most of our conferences will be held via the phone or Google meet.\u00a0 Our goal is to talk with 100% of our parents.\u00a0 Please be expecting our call.<\/p>\n

Had you been there, you would have been so proud of our 6th and 7th grade boys\u2019 basketball teams who were great in their challenge against West Vigo Middle School, last Thursday.\u00a0 They were amazing!\u00a0 Thank you to all the parents and fans, who showed up in great numbers to support our Scotties.<\/p>\n

We hope that you will join us on Monday, as they take the floor at Sarah Scott against Honey Creek.\u00a0 Our 6th<\/sup> and 7th<\/sup> grade boys have skills.\u00a0 And they would love to have you in the stands, cheering them on to victory!\u00a0 You can purchase your game tickets by going to the Sarah Scott website.\u00a0 Click on athletics and game tickets, or you can purchase your tickets at the door.<\/p>\n

Monday will be the first time we get to see the Sarah Scott Dance Team and the Sarah Scott cheerleaders on the floor.\u00a0 Both teams have been working hard, honing their skills.\u00a0 And they are ready to show your what they\u2019re working with!\u00a0 Come out and see them on Monday evening!<\/p>\n

On Thursday, our boys\u2019 basketball teams will match their skills against St. Pats.\u00a0 Join us in the stands.\u00a0\u00a0 This will be another home game.<\/p>\n

Family, we need your help.\u00a0 Miss Campbell-Miller is asking that we help by collecting plastic caps and lids.\u00a0 Her goal is to collect 500 pounds to get have a bench made for Sarah Scott.\u00a0 We can get to 500 pounds, but we need your help. Please ask your family members, colleagues at work and everyone you know to save their plastic caps and lids and send them to Sarah Scott.\u00a0 We appreciate your support!<\/p>\n

Calling all 8th<\/sup> grade girls!\u00a0 Do you have basketball skills?\u00a0 If so, we need you on our team.\u00a0 Tryouts for the 8th<\/sup> grade girls\u2019 basketball team will be November 1st<\/sup>, 2nd<\/sup> and 3rd<\/sup> from 3:30 to 5:30.\u00a0 Those young ladies, who make the team, will be posted on Wednesday.\u00a0 Remember, you must have a physical on file to tryout.<\/p>\n

Scotties, are you ready for the \u201cGlow Party\u201d?\u00a0 This Friday, all Scotties are invited to join the fun at our Glow Party.\u00a0 It\u2019s going to be Bussin\u2019, bussin\u2019, with glow merchandise, games, candy and grilled hot dogs.\u00a0 The cost is $5.00 to join the fun\u2026and you get to wear costumes.\u00a0 Don\u2019t miss out!<\/p>\n

Parents, please mark your calendars for November 8th<\/sup> for our Parent\u2019s Spaghetti Dinner.\u00a0 We would love you, our parents, join us for our parent meeting and dinner.\u00a0 That\u2019s November 8th<\/sup> from 6:00 to 8:00.\u00a0 More information to come.<\/p>\n
