This is your principal, Scotia Brown, with your first Scottie Burst for the 2021-2022 school year! I hope you are as excited as we are to be returning to school! As you know, we look forward to welcoming our Scotties on Monday, August 16th. But, before classes begin, we have some information to share with you. So, here we go:<\/p>\n
Cross country, girls\u2019 volleyball and boys\u2019 tennis practice will begin the first week of school. Students interesting in participating in these sports will need to have a physical form on file with the school before they can be allowed to begin. If your student hasn\u2019t completed a physical, please take advantage of this week and get the physical completed with your physician. You can come by the school, any day this week, to pick up one of the physical forms. <\/p>\n
The school supply list can be found on the Sarah Scott website. <\/p>\n
All incoming 6th graders are invited to join us on Wednesday, at Sarah Scott, for WEB orientation. WEB orientation is designed for our 6th graders to get to know one another, meet their 8th grade web leaders and become familiar with the school. We have many great activities planned for our 6th graders, so you want to be sure to attend. Web orientation will be from 1:00 to 5:30. All 6th grade parents are invited to join us for Open House at 6:00 on Wednesday. <\/p>\n
Open House for 7th grade parents will be Thursday, August 12th from 9:00 to 11:00.<\/p>\n
Open House for 8th grade parents will be Thursday, August 12th from 1:00 to 3:00. At Open House, students will be able to get their schedules, find their lockers, etc. Parents will be given important information, meet the teachers, complete online enrollment, etc. We hope you will join for Open House. Again:<\/p>\n
6th grade Open House is this Wednesday at 6:00<\/p>\n
7th grade Open House is Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00<\/p>\n
8th grade Open House is Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00<\/p>\n
In order to be in compliance with Vigo County School directions, all students, parents and staff will need to be masked. <\/p>\n
