We are well into the 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0half of the grading period and we want you to be informed. On October 24th<\/sup>, an email was sent to your Skyward account giving directions on how you can create a Canvas account.\u00a0 By creating a Canvas Family Access account, you will be able to see your child\u2019s announcements, assignments, and assignment grades.\u00a0 If you have\u00a0 any questions about how to set up your Canvas account, just call Sarah Scott and ask for Miss Weatherspoon, our secretary, and she will be glad to assist you.<\/p>\n

Parents, your Scottie should be working to complete 60 ALEKS math topics. Scotties can work to complete these topics during 9th<\/sup>\u00a0period and at home.\u00a0 Please encourage your Scottie to complete the topics.<\/p>\n

For our 7th<\/sup>\u00a0and 8th<\/sup>\u00a0grade parents, have you returned your 21st<\/sup>\u00a0Century scholarship application?\u00a0 It\u00a0 only takes 15 minutes to complete the form.\u00a0 And, it could be worth $65,000 for your Scottie.\u00a0 We are having an ice cream social on Friday, November 4th<\/sup>\u00a0for every Scottie who turns in the completed form. \u00a0To enjoy some wonderful ice cream, on Friday, the form must be returned by Thursday.<\/p>\n

If you weren\u2019t at Sarah Scott on Thursday, you missed it.\u00a0 But, you\u2019ll have another chance o join us this Thursday, when our 6th<\/sup>\u00a0and 7th<\/sup>\u00a0grade boys\u2019 basketball teams take to the floor to bring home another victory.\u00a0 This time our Scotties will be matching their skills against Woodrow Wilson Middle School.\u00a0 Come see our boys show up!\u00a0 Join us in the bleachers and let\u2019s cheer them on to victory! The game starts at 5:00.<\/p>\n

Did you know that our Sarah Scott games are livestreamed?\u00a0 Yep, that\u2019s right.\u00a0 If you can\u2019t join us live, you can go to YouTube and login Scottie LiveStream.<\/p>\n

Friday is picture retake day.\u00a0 If you were dissatisfied with your Scotties pictures.\u00a0 Or, your Scottie didn\u2019t have pictures taken, Friday is the day for pictures.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow is Halloween and we are recognizing \u201cDrugs are Scary\u201d.\u00a0 Students are allowed to wear costumes, school appropriate, of course.\u00a0 No masks, gore, or weapons.<\/p>\n

In honor of Veteran\u2019s Day, we are creating a Wall of Honor.\u00a0 Scotties, if you have a family member who served in the military that you would like to have on the \u201cWall of Honor\u201d, fill out the google form, with your parent\/guardian by November 4th. \u00a0The form was emailed to you.<\/p>\n
