Mrs. Mangin’s Minutes of the Week

Reminder: There is no school on Monday, February 16, 2026.
*Thank you to those parents who were able to send in items for our Valentine’s Day party!
*The 5th grade has a fundraising event occurring on Saturday, February 21 from 8:30 – 10:00 am. We will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast at Longhorn Steakhouse. Proceeds from the event will be used to help pay for the 5th grade end of the year field trip.
*For your calendar: STEM Family Night on Wednesday, February 25 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. This will be a fun, free event for the whole family!! Teachers and staff have many fun activities planned for our evening of learning and fun! We could use your help in collecting some items to make our evening a success. The following items are needed: empty toilet paper rolls and empty paper towel rolls. If you are able to save any of these items, please send them in with your child by 2/17.

*PTO Board Member nominations are due by the March 5 meeting. Please email rileyracerpto@gmail.com if you are interested or know someone who is interested.
*If you are interested in volunteering with PTO, the following opportunities are available: Sweetheart Dance, Lucky Grams, Rally for Riley Race, Teacher Appreciation, and Class Picnic Day. Let me know if you need more information!

Genre: Informational Text
Grammar: Interjections
Vocabulary: The vocabulary test will be on Friday. We will review the definitions each day. The students need to know the definitions of the following words: artisans, irrigate, massive, dwindling, and emaciated.
