*Monday will be the last day to send in nonperishable food items for the Thanksgiving food drive.
*The PTO Candle Fundraiser order forms are due November 17. The candles should be in before winter break.
*If you are interested in volunteering with PTO, the following opportunities are available: Riley Holiday store, Valentine’s Dance, and the Rally for Riley Race. Let me know if you need more information!
Next week we will be studying:
Math: We will learn how to divide decimals by powers of 10, estimate decimal quotients, and divide decimals by a whole number.
Social Studies: We will learn about the diversity of the Middle Colonies and the Triangular Trade routes.
Language Arts: Asking & Answering questions, Sequence
Story: “The Pot That Juan Built”
Genre: Informational Text
Grammar: Participial Phrases (Test on Thursday)
Vocabulary: The vocabulary test will be on Friday. We will review the definitions each day. The students need to know the definitions of the following words: windswept, impoverished, potsherds, solitude, reflect.
