Congratulations to Mr. Randy Spencer who has been selected as Honey Creek Middle School’s “Excellence in Education” recipient. He is one of our 6th grade science and literature teachers.
Mr. Spencer is in his 26th year teaching. He has served in the Air Force for five years as a flightline avionics mechanic on the KC-135, F-4, & F-16 aircrafts. Coming from a family of teachers, he had always wanted to be a teacher. After serving in the military, he decided to return to school and major in education.
During his teaching career, he have taught 5th and 6th grades along with high school driver’s education classes.
He has been married for 36 years. He and his wife have been blessed with four children, three girls and one boy. They have six grandchildren with one due later this year.
Mr. Spencer reported, “Honey Creek is a great school to be part of. I am fortunate to work with such a supporting staff along with our students. Being a teacher is so rewarding as you watch the growth of your students as they embrace the knowledge and skills needed to prepare them for adulthood.”
