  • Fuqua HappeningsCheck out our Fuqua Website to stay current on “Falcon events”.  Please take some time to look it over.

Also, check out the “Fuqua Elementary PTO” Facebook page for upcoming events and school happenings.  It is a great way for parents to stay informed and connect with other Fuqua families.

    • Please review Fuqua’s Student Dress Code.  Shorts should be at least “finger-tip” length.  No tank tops, shirts with spaghetti straps, or shirts in which the midriff is visible should be worn. Also please remember NO flip-flop shoes or sandals without a heel strap are to be worn by students.
    • Class lists for the 2024-2025 school year have been prepared and will be posted during the last week of school.
    • Students in Grades 1-5 could be keeping their Chromebooks at home with them this summer! Please watch for more detailed information to come home with your student regarding the care and expectations for this.  There will also be educational opportunities provided by the VCSC throughout the summer from the VCSC with your child’s Chromebook.  Information about how to access these educational experiences will be included in the information sent home next week.
    • Immunizations – During the 2009 legislative session, the Indiana State Department of Health adopted rules under IC 4-22-2 requiring the school age child to receive additional immunizations against the following:  Meningitis, Varicella, and Pertussis (whooping cough). What this means for your child is that before entry to school for 2024-2025 school year, all 6th-12th grade students will be required to have 2 doses of varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, given on or after the first birthday, and separated by appropriate intervals as defined by the CDC, or a history of chickenpox disease that has written verification by the parent or physician.  All 6th– 12th grade students will be required to have 1 dose of tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis vaccine (Tdap) given on or after the 10th birthday.  In addition, all 6th-12th grade students will be required to have 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4).
    • Summer School – Sign your children up for summer school at Fuqua.  It’s a great way to get them back into the routine and sharpen their skills before the year begins.  Dates are: August 5-9,  Monday through Friday, 8am – noon.  Ask our office for a form.
