About Mrs. McFarland
Mrs. Kelly McFarland
B.S. Indiana State University, 1994
Master’s Degree Indiana State University, 2000
My name is Kelly McFarland and I have lived in Vigo County my whole life. I
attended Riley Elementary, Honey Creek Jr. High, and graduated from Terre Haute
South – “Once a Brave, Always a Brave”. I have been teaching at Fuqua since I
graduated from ISU in 1994. I taught third grade for 3 of those years
but I have spent most of my time in first grade. I love being part of the Fuqua
In my classroom and throughout the building, students are encouraged to be the
best “me” they can be. They are expected to always give their best effort in their
work and show respect with their behavior. It is so rewarding to see the gains
these little learners make during the course of the school year!
When I’m not at school, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I have a
daughter, Carlee and a son, Jackson. My husband, Matt is a Mortgage Loan
Originator at Old National Bank. We are a sports loving family and you can
usually find us at the ballpark. We are quite busy and I’m sure our dogs, Husker
and LIzzie, wish we’d stay home more often. We attend Maryland Community
Church and love going on vacation whenever we get the chance.
I love to read, go out to eat, shop and watch movies. Starbucks Friday is one of
my “traditions”. Summer is my favorite season because you can find me floating
in the pool!
Come by and see all the great things going on at Fuqua. I love to have past
students drop in for a visit!
