Hi there! Nice to meet you!
My name is Lindsey Goldman and I am a first grade teacher at Fuqua
Elementary. I began teaching at Fuqua in August of 2015. I taught 3 years of
Kindergarten and then moved to First Grade. Before becoming a teacher at Fuqua,
I was Mrs. Hughes’ TOTAL intern in the Fall of 2014. This is when I fell in love
with the school and our wonderful principal Mrs. Harris.
I have lived in Vigo County for my whole life. I attended Riley Elementary,
Honey Creek Middle School, and Terre Haute South Vigo High School. I then went
on and spent my first year of college at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
After deciding that wasn’t for me, I transferred to Indiana State University and
received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Mild-
Intervention Special Education.
I love teaching children. I am a true believer that we learn more from them
than they do from us. Their energy and excitement for learning makes my heart
smile each and every day. I want my students to be the best person they can be
and then become the best student they can be. I teach them that as long as
they’re trying and doing their best we will have a great time in first grade.
When I am not at school, I am usually at CrossFit, the softball field, or
spending time with family.
My husband and I welcomed our son into the world in December of 2020.
We love watching him grow and are enjoying every minute of being parents!
I am excited for every school year and can’t wait to look back at all the fun
things and new things your students will accomplish this year.
