About Mrs. Freeman

My name is Mrs.  Freeman and I am so excited to be joining the first grade team this year! Before becoming an elementary teacher, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Kaplan University. I worked as a paralegal for 10 years, before making a career switch. I fell in love with teaching when I started subbing. I then became an aide in Sullivan County, I worked as an aide for 6 years. My passion for teaching and helping children pushed me to go back to school in 2017 and I graduated with my Bachelor Degree in Education in 2020 from Western Governor’s University . This will be my third year at Dixie Bee and my fifth year teaching. I am certified to teach grades k-6.

I truly love teaching children.  I can not wait to have an exciting year of learning and fun with my students. I strive to provide instruction that every student can understand, regardless of their learning style.

I have been married to my husband, Jonathan, for 17 years.  I am also a mother of two kids, I have one boy and one girl. My son, Devan, is 14 and he will be a Freshman this year. My daughter, Elyse, is 11  and she will be a sixth grader this year. I enjoy spending time with my children, watching their sporting events, and having relaxing Sunday afternoons watching movies.
